McAlvain Construction, a subsidiary of Big-D Construction, has hired Joe Aebischer as a project manager. Aebischer has an extensive background in construction with nearly 15 years in the industry. He began his career in 2007 as a project engineer and most recently worked as a senior project engineer for a construction firm in Seattle, Washington. Aebischer has worked on a variety of projects throughout his career, some notable projects include the Pixar Animation Studios Phase II in Emeryville, California and the Third & Lenora Tower in Seattle. In his new role as project manager at McAlvain, Aebischer’s primary focus will be on overseeing projects from start to finish, making sure that timelines and budgets are met and fostering client relationships. Jim Rowley, vice president of construction services, praised Aebischer’s experience, knowledge and ability to collaborate to benefit clients and projects.
