Current chairman and CEO of Buck Knives Inc., CJ Buck is the fourth-generation member of his family to run the business. With his surname on the product, and a history of working with the company since 1978, where he started on the production line building the Buck Folding Hunter knives, he genuinely cares about product quality.
Buck also cares deeply about his community. He is on the board of the Kootenai County Police & Firemen Memorial Fund, and he previously sat on the Idaho Economic Advisory Council, which advises the governor and Idaho Commerce on economic development goals. He is also currently active with a nonprofit he co-founded in 1996 called the American Knife and Tool Institute, which aims to ensure Americans maintain their rights to make, buy, sell and carry knives.
