The company adopted a franchise model in 1973. The firm has expanded approximately 10% annually in recent years. The current business model is focused on growing the chain by around 35 new stores every year. The Idaho Falls store is owned and managed by independent owner-operator Douglas Everett.
Other Idaho Grocery Outlet locations are Boise (two stores), Bonners Ferry, Caldwell, Coeur d’Alene, Lewiston, Mountain Home, Nampa, Twin Falls and just over the border in Ontario, Oregon.
