With 13 years of banking experience in a variety of roles including loan administrator, credit analyst and commercial lender, Ilona Mitchell brings a wealth of industry knowledge from various sectors of the banking industry to her role at Northwest Bank of Idaho. In the two years that she has held her position of vice president and commercial relationship manager, she has been tasked with advocating on behalf of Northwest Bank customers and providing them the tools necessary to achieve financial success.
Through her present responsibilities at Northwest Bank, Mitchell has been able to draw upon her previous work as a small business owner to better understand the challenges that other small business owners face, providing her with a unique perspective that allows her to better understand what her clients may need.
Along with her banking work, Mitchell has worked to remain active in the community, serving on the board for Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Idaho, which seeks to advance women agents in the commercial real estate industry, and serving as an advisory board member for the Idaho Women’s Business Center.
Though Mitchell is an Idaho native, her previous work with the Nevada State Bank and Wells Fargo of Nevada has brought her away from her home state. It is only recently that she and her husband have returned to Treasure Valley, where they have been keen to take advantage of the variety of outdoor opportunities that Idaho has to offer, including hunting, fishing and camping.
