Twin Falls bank adds wealth management division

A new wealth and investment management division has been created for Twin Falls-based First Federal Bank.

On Wednesday, Jason A Meyerhoeffer, president and CEO of First Federal Bank, announced the division, which will include services such as investment advising, retirement planning, estate planning, tax optimization and wealth management strategies.

“Our members will have access to products and services to further enhance their financial well-being,” Meyerhoeffer said in a statement. “We are also thrilled to be welcoming three very talented and exceptional people … who will be leading in this new division.”

Ben Duncanson will head the Wealth and Investment Management team. Jacob Packer and Nik Gumeson will join Duncanson.

With nearly a decade of experience in wealth management, Duncanson’s experience includes working for national companies Charles Schwab and Vanguard. He is a Boise native and earned a bachelor’s degree in business finance from the University of Idaho. He will be based out of the South Eagle branch.

Packer came to First Federal from Wells Fargo in Salt Lake City, where he spent the last seven years, focusing on high-net-worth accounts. He is currently earning a college degree through Weber State University in Odgen, Utah. He will be based in the Cheney branch in Twin Falls.

Gumeson will serve the Magic Valley market, working in the Twin Falls branch of First Federal. He has worked as an advisor with Ameriprise Financial for the last three years. Prior to his work in the financial sector, Gumeson was a college basketball coach for the College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls.

Along with the other services mentioned, clients will also be able to receive ongoing financial monitoring and assistance to make sure their strategies are optimized and business succession planning for small businesses looking to make ownership changes.
