Wealth Management Team Ready to Assist Members with Complex Financial Needs

Idaho Central Credit Union has partnered with Ball Ventures Ahlquist (BVA) to build a 125,000-square-foot, five-story office building at the corner of Eagle and Overland Roads. The new state-of-the-art building will open in October and will house several departments including a call center, training areas, mortgage officers, commercial lending, wealth management and much more.

ICCU will occupy half of the first floor and all of the 4th and 5th floors. The rest of the land will continue to be developed by local contractors and leased out to medical office buildings, a hotel, retail, restaurants and an outdoor driving range.

The new building sports a very modern design with large windows, LED lighting and high efficiency HVAC. The décor will also give tribute to the popular Farmstead Corn Maze that was previously on the property, which has now moved ten miles south to Kuna.

One department that will be growing in this new location is the Private Client department. While ICCU has been developing these services in recent years at their Vista Avenue location, the Eagle View Landing office will be the headquarters for helping Treasure Valley members with their more complex financial needs.

“This project has been an exciting part of our continued growth in the Treasure Valley,” said Kent Oram, CEO of ICCU. “We are thrilled to provide a beautifully constructed, consolidated space for our team members to serve our members. It will mirror our corporate culture and core values.”

Idaho Central has been steadily increasing their presence all over the state and this Eagle View Landing location will be one more opportunity for them to serve their members. Their mission to help members achieve financial success has been proven with over 415,000 members, $6.3 billion in assets and 40 branches all over Idaho. They now have over 1,375 employees working statewide and are eager to have that number grow even more with this location in Meridian. By focusing on high quality customer service and giving back to the community, they have come a long way from the state-chartered credit union that was organized in 1940. As the now largest credit union in Idaho and the largest state-chartered financial institution, they have made it clear that when you see their bright green logo pop up, they have some exciting things in store.

While their 80th birthday celebration looked a lot different from the ultra-green birthday bash they were sure to throw in 2020, they became a financial staple for Idaho during somber times. They were one of the largest lenders in the Paycheck Protection Program to assist Idahoans and their employees’ payrolls over the last several months. By taking the time to listen to their members who were struggling financially due to the consequences of COVID-19, they were able to be there for them with skipped loan payments and relief loan options. With the increased unemployment rates and many businesses being forced to shut down, ICCU employees put compassion first to help meet the financial needs of their customers during a difficult pandemic.

They also used advanced technology to redirect their attention to electronic services when in-person transactions became less feasible. Their VideoChat banking option has been available to members for the last couple of years, but became a vital part of being able to communicate during the pandemic. Business was adapted by sending over 600 employees’ home and providing the necessary technology so many could still field calls and assist members from the safety of their own home. New problems require new solutions and ICCU has led the way for using innovative technology to continue interacting with their members.

Idaho Central Credit Union takes great pride in treating their employees, their members and the communities they serve like family and are excited to bring this enthusiasm to this location in Meridian. They have been voted in the top three for the Best Place to Work in Idaho for the last nine years, five of those years being in the #1 spot. They have also been in the top five Top Performing Credit Unions awarded by S&P Global for the last eight years, five of those years also being in the #1 spot. Perhaps one of their greatest accomplishments, however, is being ranked #1 in the Northwest when it comes to giving back to their members with better rates and services. They are in the top 1% of the nation for providing value and saving their members money!

Treasure Valley residents will also be seeing the Idaho Central Credit Union’s name on another exciting facility in the area. The CenturyLink Arena, home of the Idaho Steelheads, will now be named “Idaho Central Arena.” ICCU has partnered with Block 22 Management Group to bring several new physical upgrades to the downtown facility in a phased approach along with the name change.

“This sponsorship is a way for us to be present and engaged in Downtown Boise. We have many members in the Treasure Valley and we love supporting this community,” said Kent Oram.

Idaho Central Credit Union is motivated to continue expanding throughout the Treasure Valley and is looking forward to increasing satisfied credit union members and more jobs to help assist those members. The Eagle View Landing office will be an incredible addition to the ICCU family and will be able to help with a variety of financial services.
