Salt Lake City-based commercial real estate firm Newmark Grubb ACRES established a Boise mobile presence in April with two agents.
Newmark Grubb ACRES is an affiliate of Newmark Knight Frank, a national Top 10 largest commercial real estate firm. Boise is the first Idaho operation for Newmark Knight Frank, which is joining other Top 10 commercial real estate firms with Boise affiliates: Colliers International, Cushman & Wakefield and CBRE.
Sherry Schoen is the principal broker in Boise for Newmark Grubb ACRES. Schoen previously was associate banker heading the Boise office for Salt Lake City-based Coldwell Banker Commercial Advisors, which was acquired April 3 by Toronto-based Colliers International Group.
“(Newmark’s) network and support platform is outstanding, the best I’ve been exposed to,” Schoen said.
Newmark Grubb ACRES has offices in Salt Lake City, Clearfield and Linden, all in Utah. The company has sought to expand to Boise for a while, market leader Nick Wood said.
“We were looking for top-shelf, top-level talent and Sherry fit the bill,” Wood said.
Newmark Grubb ACRES does not have a Boise office yet. Wood anticipates opening an office once a third broker is added.
Newmark Grubb ACRES will offer brokerage and property management services in Boise. Support and technical services are in Salt Lake City.
