Southern Idaho Economic Development Organization
Title
Executive Director

Jan Rogers has led the Southern Idaho Economic Development Organization for 18 years, with 24 years total in economic development. Her most significant recent accomplishment has been expanding Southern Idaho’s presence in France and Europe, opening doors for businesses and building international partnerships.

“Expanding Southern Idaho’s presence in France and Europe has been one of our most ambitious and rewarding undertakings,” Rogers said. “As a relatively small regional economic development organization, this initiative represented a bold step onto the international stage.”

The initiative includes exploring collaborations between College of Southern Idaho’s culinary program and France’s oldest culinary school, plus potential partnerships between University of Idaho and University of Burgundy for student exchanges.

In the past two and a half years alone, Southern Idaho has generated approximately $1.86 billion in new capital investment and created more than 1,400 new direct jobs. Rogers has been instrumental in driving Foreign Direct Investment into Idaho statewide.

Next year marks the organization’s 25th anniversary. “We’ll share a bold vision for the next 25 years driven by innovation, global partnerships and continued commitment to creating lasting opportunities,” she said.
