As the founder of Cornerstone Design, Suzie Hall’s creative eye has been servicing the hospitality, commercial and multifamily markets across Idaho. She launched Cornerstone Collective five years ago, which provides clients with access to “Best in Class” consultants and resources. With more than three decades in the industry, Hall has become an expert in both the LEED and health care markets and now has worked on 20 LEED projects and more than two dozen health care projects.

Hall is also a sought-after speaker for hospitality conferences and events, a published author, and is the founding partner of Open Spaces Northwest. She’s also very community-minded and enjoys volunteering, currently serving on the board of Saint Alphonsus Hospital Foundation.

She also has experience helping in leadership for the Go Red for Women campaign for the American Heart Association and was the past chapter president for Entrepreneurs’ Organization Idaho.

With 23 years serving as the head of Boise Rescue Mission Ministries ― the largest homeless service provider in Idaho ― Rev. Bill Roscoe has made it clear that his heart is for serving people. He said that he came to this career after two decades in the construction industry.

“I felt a call from God to serve at a Rescue Mission in California and joined the staff there,” he explained. “I have continued to seek God’s will for my life and He has clearly led me to continue in Rescue Mission Ministry.

While there have been many highlights and challenges in his role over the years, Rev. Roscoe shares that he’s truly proud of completing a $9.5 million capital campaign to build 58 transitional living apartments in two years, while meeting or exceeding the annual budget of $10 million each year. Under his leadership, the organization serves 200 to 500 people each year across 14 locations to recover from homelessness and return to independent living.

Angela Hemingway brings extensive experience in education, technology and public service to her role as CEO of Girl Scouts of Silver Sage, a position she assumed three months ago. Her career spans classroom teaching, state government leadership and corporate executive roles.

Hemingway previously served as director in the governor’s office and State Department of Education, where she led initiatives impacting 500,000 students and 18,000 educators while securing more than $9 million in funding for STEM and computer science programs. At T-Mobile, she was recognized in the top 1% of employees for leading Project 10Million, a $10.7 billion initiative that connected more than 6 million students and families to digital resources.

Her immediate goals include reigniting Idaho’s volunteer culture and advocating for policy change, particularly eliminating the state tax on Girl Scout cookies, making Idaho the only state with such a tax.

“My work has always been about building bridges: Between education and industry, between policy and practice, and most importantly, between potential and opportunity,” Hemingway said.

Bonnie Sielaff currently serves as the co-founder of Tamarack Grove Engineering. She and her husband launched the business in 2007 ― her helping with the billing and bookkeeping and now working closely with human resources and compliancy ― and today, the company thrives with offices in Idaho, Montana and New Jersey.

Sielaff said that finding a way to grow the company while also raising five kids was a challenge to overcome, but it’s been a gift to create a company that benefits Idaho and now highlights Idaho’s deep values of family, faith and opportunity.

“My goal is to continuing being an advocate for women in the AEC industry and to highlight the distinct strengths that make their work so vital to the dynamic and creative work of engineering,” she said. “I am passionate about advocating for the balance of serving our families and being able to still use the gifts we have been given to contribute professionally as well.”

Jaime Ekman, daughter of Stoltz Group founder Ken Stoltz, learned how to navigate the business world from a young age. After graduating with an MBA, she went into a sales and marketing career for global companies and six years ago purchased the family business and stepped into the C-suite as Stoltz Group’s president and CEO.

Today, she is working to keep her family’s legacy alive and has done exactly that.

Ekman, who can be described as a quiet but determined leader, is focused on people first and foremost. This attentiveness is part of the magic of her leadership style and what has led her to grow the company and its team to become one of the most successful woman-owned marketing agencies in Northwest.

In a 2022 interview in which Ekman was named a CEO of Influence, she emphasized the value of communication not only between clients and Stoltz, but within the marketing firm itself. “We have really close relationships with our clients — and each other,” she said.

Todd Christensen shared that he often lives by the motto “Do the right things, for the right reasons, and the right things will happen.”

Living by this axiom has worked out well for Christensen, as he’s built a successful career of more than 25 years working in economic, community and business development. He most recently spent 10 years with CapEd Credit Union as the chief marketing officer before stepping into his newest role as the executive vice president, senior strategist for Sprout Marketing, where he serves today.

“I look forward to continuing to connect with leaders to learn and see how my experience and skills can help individuals, companies and organizations to help strengthen individuals, companies and our broader community,” Christensen explained. “Connections lead to partnerships, and together ― focused on common ground ― we are better and stronger. I am excited to draw on my experience with CapEd Credit Union and other prior work experiences to help business owners and their teams succeed.”

Sydney Osborne serves as general manager of Graeber & Company Salon + Facial Bar in downtown Boise, a role she has held for five years. She began her career as a licensed barber-stylist working directly with clients before expanding into leadership, brand development and experience design.

Under Osborne’s management, the salon recently completed a comprehensive rebrand while maintaining its core identity. The company introduced new specialty services and implemented advanced team training programs, leveraging technology to enhance guest experiences. She has focused on creating growth pathways for staff at all levels, from new artists to legacy team members.

Osborne addressed industry-wide staffing challenges by prioritizing company culture, flexibility and mentorship, helping retain talented professionals during a period when many were leaving the beauty industry. Her leadership philosophy centers on vision, trust and empowering others to recognize their potential.

The salon operates in downtown Boise’s beauty and wellness sector, where Osborne continues developing innovative approaches to team and guest experiences while expanding mentorship and community partnership opportunities.

Jay Taylor has built a 37-year career in public relations, including 22 years as owner of Summit Public Relations in Nampa. His journey began as a sports journalist in Phoenix before transitioning to PR when he moved to Southern California and found journalism jobs scarce or low-paying.

Taylor’s agency operates on a personal service model that has proven successful over two decades. His recent accomplishments include securing comprehensive media coverage for Corso Italian Steak’s grand opening, generating four-plus minute features on all three local TV stations and placement across Boise-area print and broadcast outlets.

Looking ahead, Taylor hopes to expand into Idaho’s thriving wine and craft brewery scene, believing the state’s quality beverages deserve broader recognition.

“The toughest thing to overcome when I started my own agency was convincing potential clients that a one-man shop could provide the level of service that a big shop could,” Taylor said. “I overcame that by letting them know that a senior level practitioner would be handling every aspect of their account.”

Taylor earned a journalism degree from Arizona State University.

Carl Arriola has transformed a small portable sanitation company into a regional operation with 53 employees across three locations in 13 years as founder of PortaPros. The company serves southern Idaho and eastern Oregon from offices in Nampa, Pocatello and Ontario, Oregon.

Arriola’s diverse career began at 14 in food service, followed by military service as both enlisted soldier and officer in the U.S. Army. He later worked for two national public accounting firms after earning his CPA designation before transitioning to entrepreneurship.

In 2012, Arriola purchased ABC Sanitation during the tail end of the Great Recession, facing established competitors and a challenging economy. He grew the business through word-of-mouth by emphasizing clean, reliable and local service. Recent expansion includes opening the Pocatello location and acquiring a Mountain Home company.

Arriola currently serves as president of the Portable Sanitation Association International board.

“The through line in my career has simply been an understanding of the language of business and finding and retaining amazing team members which applies in any industry,” Arriola said.

Savana Maxon is a natural leader who, from a young age, found herself wanting to be a part of helping businesses grow and succeed.

Despite a difficult upbringing where she had to navigate abuse and violence, she understood that she had to overcome fear and embrace courage to succeed. Her story of perseverance and resiliency is a testimony of her strength and today, Maxon has built a life for herself that she is proud of.

Today, she is seasoned operations leader and entrepreneur with a passion for team building and helping people embrace their uniqueness.

She is currently the head of operations for Lucro Consulting and the founder of Sonder Operations and is a well-known speaker who regularly encourages leaders via podcasts, panels and workshops to be authentic and embrace empathy and vulnerability. Maxon is also an accomplished author, having co-authored three books, and is now being contracted by a publisher for her first solo book.

Shannon McGuire shares that once she realized she could own her power and leverage the uniqueness of her perspective, she started a business and the rest is history.

Today, she’s the founder and chief empowerment officer for Spark Strategic Solutions & Supreme Moms. Some of the highlights of her work are producing a pioneering report with Gallup, Built with Care: Unifying Communities Through Motherhood, which involved more than 4,000 Idahoans, including more than 1,700 mothers regarding their role in strengthening families and communities in Idaho. McGuire also helped produce POTATO, an unscripted documentary celebrating Idaho’s adventurous heart and community spirit.

“My work centers on empowering local leaders through innovative, heart-centered solutions — building bridges through collaboration, celebrating the Idaho spirit of adventure, and deepening our collective sense of fun, family, freedom and connection,” McGuire said.

On the horizon, McGuire has big aspirations. She has the goal of empowering 100,000 moms and reaching the hearts of more than one million Idahoans through the film.
