Dr. Sara Aney was raised in Idaho and doesn’t just prescribe a healthy lifestyle for her patients, she lives by example.
She is board certified in preventative, family and lifestyle medicine, and she specializes in family medicine, caring for patients at all stages of life. Aney’s focus is on preventative measures, working with patients to implement lifestyle choices for better health. Those treatment paths address issues such as diabetes, anxiety and depression, hypertension and other diseases.
Aney holds both medical doctor and master of public health credentials, having completed her schooling through Loma Linda University. She is also bilingual, speaking English and Spanish.
She started her career as a clinical research coordinator with the National Institutes of Health, then worked as a resident physician and chief resident with Loma Linda University Health for 11 and a half years before coming to her current role with St. Luke’s.
Aney, true to her health-based career, enjoys spending time with family, cooking healthy meals and spending time outdoors.
