Blossom Puamohala Johnston’s career has always lived at the intersection of government, philanthropy and community impact.

After years of working in state government and leading statewide education and workforce initiatives, she founded Idaho Partners for Good six years ago. Under her direction, the organization has supported more than 100 Idaho nonprofits, invested more than $103,500 in grants, and contributed $250,000 in expertise, strengthening organizations that serve families, children and communities statewide.

While this past year has brought many challenges with the cultural and political landscape, Johnston is excited about making strategic decisions that might look different than what they’ve done in the past to better reach their goals.

“Staying true to our values means leading by example — even when it’s hard,” Johnston explained. “People who know their purpose will always find a way to help their communities thrive. As for me, I’ll always seek ways to fulfill my own purpose: To improve the well-being of families and children.”
