Bruce and Laura DeLaney opened the first Rediscovered Books location in downtown Boise in 2006, later expanding into other storefronts. The duo also took ownership of Rainbow Books, which was rebranded as Once and Future Books, a used‐book store on State Street. Once the DeLaneys moved out of town, they enlisted additional local leadership to join as owners. Today’s ownership team now includes Rebecca Crosswhite, Rebecca Leber-Gottberg, Kalli King and Hanna Fischer — each involved in the day-to-day operations of the stores.

The DeLaneys and their partners are known not just for selling books but also for community involvement: They host various fun events like book clubs, book signings, craft nights and more, and engage in local initiatives that encourage and build literacy.

“We are an avid group of readers spanning all genres and age groups,” shared Rebecca Leber-Gottberg in a 2025 interview with Idaho Business Review. “We genuinely love coming to work and love what we do. And we get to read so many great books!”

Randy Funk serves as president of Patriot Ammo and Bulk Ammo Outlet, where he leads with a dedication to top-notch and reliable service and quality products.

Under his direction, the company has built a reputation as a trusted supplier of ammunition for sportsmen, law enforcement and responsible firearm owners around the country.

Funk’s approach in leading the company combines industry expertise with a customer-first outlook, ensuring that each customer can access affordable and dependable products. His vision highlights integrity and efficiency and focuses on building long-term relationships with customers.

Looking ahead, Funk intends to build on his passion for the industry, tapping into his natural leadership ability and inherent entrepreneurial drive. With more than 40 years of work at WinCo Foods, Grant Haag knows the inner workings of the company ― from beginner roles, all the way up to the top. Haag rose through the ranks at the employee-owned store, serving in a variety of positions such as produce department manager, Northwest division/Oregon produce supervisor, vice president of produce operations and district manager for the Northwest division.

In 2015, he stepped into the role of senior vice president of department operations and three years later he was appointed CEO of the company. Today, Haag oversees all of WinCo’s operations and its more than 100 stores across 10 states. Under his leadership, the company continues to grow and expand, staying true to its strategy of offering low prices to consumers and providing an employee stock ownership model.

Philanthropic work is also important to Haag. He is on the board of the WinCo Foods Foundation and also has experience serving on the Oregon executive committee for the City of Hope Charity Foundation.

Kelsey Miller, owner of Shift Boutique, is a creative entrepreneur who’s bringing style, confidence and community together in Idaho. With a keen eye for design, she founded Shift Boutique in 2016 as a space where women could find clothing that not only fits their lifestyle but also inspires them to feel their best.

Before her journey into business ownership, Miller worked as a talent coordinator for Lyft and then was promoted to recruiting and human resources roles there. She also worked in leadership for Target for four years, where her most recent role was operations manager. There, she recruited, trained and developed 15 team leaders to assist with store opening.

A graduate of Boise State University, Miller is involved in volunteer work, too. She is a stylist for Dress for Success Worldwide, is a board member for the Downtown Boise Association, and was also involved for four years as the chair of the Wine, Women and Shoes Marketplace for Idaho Youth Ranch.

Susan D. Morris has dedicated nearly four decades of her career to Albertsons, beginning at a store in the Denver area. Over the years, she proved her leadership capability and was promoted to various management roles, including the executive vice president and chief operations officer for seven years, where she led the operations of more than 2,200 stores across 35 states.

In May 2025, Morris was appointed to her current role as president and CEO of the company. Since then, she has steered Albertsons through a pivotal period, leaving behind a proposed merger with another large retail chain and instead focusing on competitive pricing, loyalty, personalizing customer shopping experience and more. Under her direction, Albertsons is also investing in digital sales channels, retail media and innovation to strengthen its competitive standing.

Morris also stays active in volunteer work and is on the board of directors for IDACORP, Inc., and the Food Marketing Institute. She also has previous experience serving on the board of the Albertsons Companies Foundation, which addresses issues related to food insecurity.
