As a seasoned information technology executive with more than three decades of global business experience under his belt, Mark Holtermann has experience leading multi-disciplined teams to deliver transforming results. Known for his superb problem-solving skills, approachable and effective communication style, and commitment to customer-focused solutions for industries and global organizations of all sizes, he has worked as the chief information officer for Idaho National Laboratory for the past two years. There, he is part of a team dedicated to pioneering advancements in nuclear energy, clean energy integration and national security and is accountable for all IT and cybersecurity across the organization.
Before this role, Holtermann worked as the senior director of global enterprise technology solutions for Jarden Consumer Solutions, as the vice president of information technology for Central Hudson Gas and Electric Corporation for five years, the vice president of technology for American Water for more than two years, and for two years as the vice president of information technology and digitization for NAES Corporation.
Looking ahead, Holtermann is focused on ensuring INL remains at the forefront of innovation.
