Cody Lund began work with Boise Centre 18 years ago, working his way up through the facility operations department to assistant executive director, where he oversaw four of the convention center’s largest departments. This role prepared him for his current position as the executive director of the organization, which he stepped into at the end of 2023. Looking ahead to this year, Boise Centre anticipates holding approximately 270 events, which will help generate more than $40 million in revenue that will positively impact the state.
Lund shared that if he wasn’t working in this industry, he could see himself working in a front office for a professional sports team or getting involved in coaching. But one thing is certain: He’s never looked back on his work with Boise Centre.
“No two days are ever the same, and the community involvement allowed me to find a deeper purpose in my work, enriching me both personally and professionally,” he said. “As I progressed into leadership roles, I discovered a passion for guiding others and providing the resources and environment to give them the best opportunity for success.”
Looking at the future of his role, he is thrilled about what’s coming and how he will be able to put his leadership skills to good use.
“I’m committed to continuing to build upon Boise Centre’s reputation for service excellence and to further efforts to create positive local economic benefit,” Lund shared.
