IBR Staff//June 20, 2025//

What does it take to start a new venture? Depending on the business idea, it can take anywhere from a home office and a few hundred dollars to a staff of programmers and a few million dollars in working capital.
Startups are just tech firms that the word has become associated with ― though there are plenty of those that have sprung up in Idaho over the years ― they can also be retail shops, innovative products and services, consultancy services and more.
This special section of In the Lead focuses on startups in Idaho, what they’ve created, how they’re faring and what’s to come. More businesses are finding many positive benefits to setting up shop in the Gem State, and Idaho Business Review is highlighting those innovative and savvy entrepreneurs.
Please take a moment to read through the following profiles and keep an eye out for future In the Lead sections to nominate businesses and people by visiting idahobusinessreview.com.
