Gabriel Hamilton joined Holland & Hart in 2015, was elected to partnership in 2020 and last year was appointed the administrative partner of the company’s Boise office. There, he provides legal counsel to businesses in expansion, planning acquisitions or preparing for an exit or succession.
“One of my most significant professional accomplishments in the last 12-18 months has been working with two of Idaho’s oldest and largest mutual insurance companies to reorganize their corporate structures into mutual insurance holding companies,” Hamilton said. “This structure keeps the companies Idaho-based and Idaho-owned while being better positioned to compete with national competitors. I’ve been privileged to work with many Idaho companies to help them meet their business goals.”
Hamilton is looking forward to continuing to build relationships and in the next year he aims to add three to five new attorneys to the Boise office team.
“Law is still very much a relationship industry,” he explained.
Hamilton said that the variety of his work is what keeps him on his toes and if he wasn’t working as an attorney, he would love to be a professional musician ― even though he doesn’t have much musical talent.
“I enjoy the challenge and variety of legal practice,” he said. “I often don’t know what to expect at the beginning of each day, and that is what I like the best.”
