LeAnn Hume, a third-generation Idahoan, is passionate about her community which is evidenced in her work in the real estate industry for over 26 years. As the executive director, principal and designated broker for Summit Commercial Real Estate Group, Hume and her team ventured out to start the boutique firm after 13 years with Cushman and Wakefield, an office which they helped found.

Hume said that her father and stepmother had a very successful real estate business in Nampa, and she saw them model what it meant to work hard and build community connections. While she never imagined following in their footsteps, working in commercial real estate is where she was meant to be.

“Commercial real estate is not for the faint of heart,” she said. “The learning curve is steep and long and the deals are complex. It takes a tremendous amount of patience, expertise and time to be truly successful in our industry. Being a commercial broker has many ups and downs, but I have always focused on what is best for the client ― whether that means I get paid or not. When you value your expertise and the service you are providing to truly do the right thing for your client, you can weather the ups and downs.”

Looking ahead, Hume aims to enhance her firm’s reputation as the go-to real estate experts.

She shared, “I love that I learn something new every day and that I am helping my clients with their success. I feel truly fortunate to feel so passionate about what I do for a living.”
