Joule Case, based in Garden City, provides power wherever it is needed. As COO, Peter Anewalt focuses on ensuring the successful development and delivery of the company’s patented battery-based power solutions. Over the last 12 months Joule has expanded its reach from small-to-medium business customers to enterprises with industrial-scale needs, such as the U.S. Department of Defense. With products capable of providing this level of energy, the company is now addressing the electric-vehicle-charging space. By delivering battery-based solutions that enable charging at the point of demand, Anewalt said his company is alleviating pressure on the power grid, which is a worldwide problem.
“We expect it to drive substantial growth for our company, and as an Idaho-based startup we are proud to be contributing to solving problems at this scale,” he said.
Anewalt holds a degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia. A self-confessed technology and startup junkie, Anewalt has held leadership and executive roles with numerous companies over the course of his professional career and has a history of helping technology companies grow and become successful, he said.
Prior to joining Joule Case in 2019, Anewalt served as senior vice president of customer success at Balihoo, a Boise-based software company, and vice president of global services for Unica, which was acquired by IBM. He also has a passion for sustainability and renewable energy, he said, which makes Joule Case a great fit for him.
A native of Pennsylvania, Anewalt discovered Idaho 12 years ago and has found his forever home in Boise, where he lives with his wife and two children.
