Juggling a full-time job and a growing training and public speaking company while working toward her instrument rating as a pilot seems like a lot to handle, but Sarah J. Cortez manages it all with aplomb.

A business development representative with Alliance Title & Escrow and a keynote speaker with Sarah Cortez Speaks, the budding pilot and sales trainer also manages being present as a mother to her two children who are involved in club sports and activities.

“This past year, I returned to full-time employment with Alliance Title & Escrow,” she said. “There was some attrition with clients … I’ve been able to bring almost all of them back … while developing a substantial number of new clients.”

Cortez wrote a speech to accompany her sales training offerings in her speaking business. In November 2023, she presented her keynote speech, “When Horses Fly,” leading to several bookings in 2024.

She is also near completing her cross-country flight hours for the instrument rating and is close to the 250-hour mark, which is the first threshold for a commercial license.
Armed with actionable tactics, participants leave with new human connections, feeling motivated and ready to achieve greatness together. In her speaking business, she first spoke at the ACCE (Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives) National Conference on Sponsorships and Strategic Sales.

“At that conference, I realized the need for sales training in the Association industry, and I created a sales training for prospecting that can help anyone in commissioned-based sales to find their formula for making their goals each month and each year,” she said.
