The Empowering Women awards shine a light on companies and organizations that have demonstrated tangible efforts and documented results in supporting and elevating women in Idaho.
Empowering Women honorees are selected for their demonstrated track record of hiring and promoting women; support programs to mentor women in their organizations and address inequalities; strong record of women on the company’s board or in C-suite positions; and established DEI programs and philanthropic efforts to support women.

Empowering Women awards shine a light on companies and organizations that have demonstrated tangible efforts and documented results in supporting and empowering women in Idaho.
What are the criteria for my company to be considered for the Empowering Women award?
To be considered for the Empowering Women awards, companies must complete an application form. There is a fee to submit the application. We also strongly encourage submitting up to three letters of recommendation to https://idahobusinessreview.com/empowering-women-honoree-form/ by the application deadline to be included in the judging packet as supporting materials. This is not a requirement, but an added benefit.
How are the winning companies selected?
Program judges will use various criteria to evaluate companies and showcase those that have earned recognition. Empowering Women will honor companies that can demonstrate a commitment to some or all the following:
- Have a track record of recruiting, hiring and promoting women in their organization.
- Offer a mentoring program for women.
- Work toward systemic change in society to combat inequality.
- Place women on their board or C-Suite.
- Contribute to advancing the cause of women through outside philanthropic or community endeavors.
- Supporting programs that assist marginalized women.
- Provide scholarship assistance to women.
How are winning companies recognized?
Honorees will be profiled in print and online. Each honoree will be celebrated at an awards luncheon.
If my company is recognized as a winner, do I need to purchase a ticket to attend the event?
One representative from your company may attend at no charge. All other attendees must purchase a ticket. Please, note that all IBR events are limited attendance based on location.
What is included in sponsorship packages?
