Telaya Wine Co.
Title
Co-Founder/Head Winemaker

Earl E. Sullivan co-founded and has led Telaya Wine Co. for 17 years, recently earning recognition with his wife through the Spirit of Hospitality Award at the ROSE Awards presented by Visit Boise.

“Being recognized for setting a standard and moving the needle in hospitality within our community was a great honor,” Sullivan said.

Sullivan holds a bachelor’s degree in biology and an enology and viticulture certificate. His transition to winemaking came after years of extensive business travel.

“My wife and I sat down and outlined three key items we wanted from a new career,” he said. “Working together, intellectually challenging, and a job that could teach our kids the work ethic I learned growing up working on our family farm. Wine happens to fulfill all of those criteria.”

Sullivan has served five years on the Idaho Travel Council, helping position Idaho as a top U.S. destination. Through Telaya, he has hosted national and international tourism events, showcasing Idaho’s capabilities to reporters and influencers worldwide.

His primary goal remains enhancing wine quality to world-class standards while continuing to overcome the industry’s banking relationship challenges.
