A native of southeast Washington, Nikeela Abrams completed a psychology degree from Eastern Washington University before heading to the University of Idaho College of Law to earn her Juris Doctorate. She also holds a certificate in dispute resolution from the Pepperdine School of Law, Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution and today, serves as the founder of Abrams Law and Idaho Mediation Center.

In her role there, Abrams specializes in custody, divorce and child support modifications, and uses her background in psychology to navigate the various emotional difficulties that can come with domestic cases.

Abrams also serves as an Idaho Supreme Court approved mediator and is the founder of Idaho For All, a nonprofit that provides adaptive outdoor recreational equipment to the public to provide better accessibility to explore the Gem State.

She is also a former professional racehorse jockey. Despite having a spinal cord injury in 2018, she is still involved in horse racing as part of the Idaho State Racing Commission.
