Thirteen of Colliers International Idaho’s top sales professionals have joined company principal George Iliff with ownership stakes, the commercial real estate firm reported Tuesday.

In addition, the company announced that Jim Shipman, who joined the firm in October 2017 as president and COO, also will become a co-owner and managing partner and market leader.

In a news release, Colliers said the new owners bring decades of collective experience in the industry, with the majority of the group working entirely in Idaho throughout their careers.

Details of the transaction were not disclosed, but the company said that Iliff, previously the managing owner of the business since 2001, will remain active at Colliers’ Boise in a brokerage and community outreach capacity. He also maintains a significant share of ownership in the firm.

“It is the quality of the people in our organization that elevates our ability to offer superior services to our clients,” said Iliff. “Bringing brokers on as co-owners further reinforces their importance and ensures that they have an ongoing vested interest in the success of the business.”

Iliff also praised Shipman, who has been transitioning to this role as managing partner of the company over the past 18 months. Shipman’s leadership will help Colliers “continue our role as leader in the Idaho commercial real estate market,” Iliff added.

With four offices throughout the state – Boise, Nampa, Twin Falls and Pocatello – Colliers International Idaho operates as an independent affiliate of Colliers International Group Inc., which has a network of over 14,000 professionals worldwide.

Colliers International Idaho is home to 30 brokers and 20 property management professionals specializing in office, industrial, multifamily, retail and investment real estate leasing and sales.
