The Visit Sun Valley board of directors has made several changes. Diann Craven and Candice Pate have been named the co-chairs of the Visit Sun Valley board of directors. Olin Glenne has stepped down from his role as chairman, and Mike Burchmore has joined as a new representative.
Craven is president of ClearDirection, a communication strategy consulting firm. She has worked with many startup companies, mid-sized businesses and Fortune 500 companies in the U.S. and globally. Locally, Craven sits on several committees, including the newly formed Wood River Valley Tourism Coalition. She has consulted with several local companies in the valley and has led a series of leadership development workshops for department heads at the City of Ketchum.
Pate has been the director of the Sun Valley Film Festival for eight years. Previously, she was interim chief marketing officer at Visit Sun Valley and prior to that, vice president of worldwide marketing for the Hallmark Channel in Los Angeles. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Princeton University.
Glenne, the owner of Sturtevant’s Ski Shops, is stepping down as chairman of the Visit Sun Valley board of directors. Glenne, who has helped deepen the connection between the group and business and nonprofit leaders, will remain on the board as the Ketchum city representative.
Burchmore has joined as a new representative of the City of Sun Valley. Burchmore has lived in Sun Valley with his family since 2006 and has been involved with several nonprofit boards including the Blaine County Education Foundation, Nurture Idaho and the Blaine County Recreation District. Burchmore is a consultant in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical field.
