Powerlist – Elizabeth Elroy – Micron Technology

Elizabeth Elroy joined Micron Technology more than 20 years ago, first serving as an environmental engineer. She worked her way up to various roles including environmental manager, engineering and construction manager and senior director of facilities. For the last year and a half, she’s excelled as the company’s vice president of global environmental, health and safety (EHS) and sustainability, where she leads a worldwide team.

“This has been a remarkable journey, and I am incredibly proud of the progress we’ve made in these critical areas,” Elroy shared. “However, what stands out most to me is the opportunity I’ve had to travel to our manufacturing sites around the world. Meeting the dedicated teams who work tirelessly to realize this vision has been truly inspirational. Their commitment and passion are the driving forces behind our success, and it has been an honor to witness their efforts firsthand.”

When asked how her work has benefited Idaho, Elroy explained that at her core, she’s committed to protecting the environment.

“Throughout my career, I have worked to instill this passion in others, fostering a culture of environmental stewardship,” she said. “This commitment has spread through many organizations, leading to a collective effort to safeguard our natural resources. I believe this has had a direct impact on preserving the quality of life here in Idaho for the long term, ensuring that our community continues to thrive in a sustainable and healthy environment.”
