Specializing in residential real estate, Ron Minegar, broker and owner of Ron Minegar Real Estate, Inc., has 47 years of experience and was the past recipient of the Boise Regional Realtor of the Year award, the National Association of Realtor Emeritus (bestowed on members with 40 or more years of continuous service to the Real Estate Industry) and a Lifetime Honor Society member.

With 40 continuous years as a certified residential specialist and 25 continuous years as an accredited buyer’s representative, he also holds other honorifics and certifications.

“We remain a learning-based company, because if we stop learning, growth is impossible,” Minegar said. “One of our biggest accomplishments is transitioning successfully with our clients through a changing market.”

Having entered the real estate industry in the late 1970s, a period marked by double-digit interest rates and a net outflow of people from Idaho, Minegar quickly adapted to the market conditions.

“Entering the business during that period, I was concerned with surviving, so I transitioned quickly to representing corporate sellers which are relocation companies who purchased homes from transferring executives, repos, banks, etc.,” he said. “In 1984, I was the listing agent for 62 corporate-owned homes. I continue to be a mentor to many agents, and I believe that has had a positive impact on the real estate industry and the greater community as well.”

Minegar was inspired to enter the real estate field by his father, now 93.

“We talk real estate all the time,” Minegar said. “My daughter followed me into real estate so you could say it’s a family thing.”
