Grants in the amounts of $2,500 up to $10,000 were awarded to 70 health-related initiatives and organizations throughout nine counties in Idaho, Oregon and Washington.

The Lewis-Clark Valley Healthcare Foundation in Lewiston awarded the funds through its Fast Track Grant season totaling $435,000.

Recipients of the grants were awarded funding “to support efforts and organizations that promote the health, wellness or disease prevention of persons in our nine-county service area.”

The region covers Clearwater, Idaho, Lata, Lewis and Nez Perce counties in Idaho; Asotin, Garfield and Whiteman counties in Washington; and Wallowa County in Oregon. Recipients for the 2025 season are:

  • Asotin County Food Bank, food purchases for Asotin County Food Bank – $10,000
  • Albion Food Pantry, summer lunch program and nutritional education – $7,000
  • City of Deary, City of Deary playset project – $10,000
  • Clarkston Community Garden, 2025 garden improvements – $8,000
  • Clearwater County Senior Citizens, Inc,. Nourishing Seniors & Strengthening Community
  • Through Meal & Wellness programs – $10,000
  • Coast Transportation/Council on Aging and Human Services, Coast Transportation ADA-accessible minivan purchase for $10,000
  • Colfax Chamber of Commerce, Colfax Skate Park renovation – $5,000
  • Council on Aging and Human Services, Whitman County Food Pantries – $10,000
  • Council on Aging Saint John Food Pantry, Saint John Food Pantry critical improvement fund – $3,000
  • Council on Aging, furnace replacement funding for food distribution building in Oakesdale – $10,000
  • Deary Adventist Community Services, walk-in freezer for Deary Community Foodbank – $10,000
  • Elk City Ambulance, Inc., Elk City Ambulance classroom – $10,000
