As any effective leader knows, a chief executive officer doesn’t get to where he or she is without the support of the teams they lead. It takes a rare personality to lead an organization and help it reach its full potential.
It also takes a rare personality to be named to Idaho Business Review’s CEO of Influence list, which has just been announced for 2024.
The CEO of Influence program, in its 14th year, honors some of the state’s leaders across multiple industries, government agencies and nonprofit organizations who are working for growth and prosperity. The program’s presenting sponsor for its 14 years is Perkins Coie.
Each year’s honorees are nominated by colleagues, peers, community members and others who feel the nominee deserves to be recognized for his or her dedication to their organization and employees. The list of candidates gets narrowed by an internal IBR committee, which considers each nominee’s track record of leadership, vision, innovation, competitiveness, financial performance and community leadership.
The selected CEOs are honored at the CEO of Influence award ceremony, to be held this year on May 9 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at Boise Centre East in downtown Boise. The leaders will be featured in a magazine to be distributed at the awards event and then to subscribers on May 12.
“Idaho Business Review is proud to provide recognition programs that highlight the best in the state,” said Cindy Suffa, publisher of IBR. “This year’s list of CEOs represents individuals who are leading successful Idaho companies across a variety of industries, including health care, real estate, nonprofit, finance, construction and more.”
This is also the second year that the program is recognizing a past CEO of Influence with the Link of Distinction honor. Last year’s inaugural honor was awarded to Tommy Ahlquist of Ball Ventures Ahlquist. This year, the Link of Distinction is being award to Chris Taylor, the president and CEO of Fisher’s Technology.
