For one day at six locations throughout the Treasure Valley, a drive to provide a “fresh start” will be held, aiming to serve community members in need.
Boise Rescue Mission, 89.5 KTSY and Project 88.7 are hosting a Thanksgiving Turkey Drive from 6 a.m.-6 p.m. on Nov. 13 at six Albertsons stores throughout Ada and Canyon counties. The drive is seeking “holiday essentials for men, women and children in need.”
“Every donation made on Nov. 13 helps provide not just a meal, but an opportunity for a fresh start for someone in need,” said Rev. Bill Roscoe, president and CEO of Boise Rescue Mission Ministries.
Among the items being sought for donations are: Frozen turkeys, canned vegetables, canned fruit, gravy packs, stuffing mix, canned chicken or tuna, spaghetti sauce, hot and cold cereals, ground coffee, granola bars, toilet paper, paper towels, facial tissue, cold and flu medicine and more.
The Albertsons locations where community members can donate are 2400 12th Avenue and Greenhurst in Nampa; 3301 Cherry Lane and Ten Mile in Meridian; 210 N. Highbrook Way in Star; Eagle 4700 N. Eagle Road and McMillan in Boise; 250 S. Eagle Road and State Street in Eagle; and 3499 E. Fairview and Eagle in Merdian.
“We’re so thankful for our friends at 89.5 KTSY and Project 88.7 for standing with us to care for our community, and to Kendall Auto Idaho for their generous sponsorship,” Roscoe said. “The kindness and compassion of people here in the Treasure Valley truly make a life-changing difference.”
Those who wish to donate but are unable to in person can give online at the Boise Rescue Mission website. https://boise-rescue-mission.snwbll.com/2025-thanksgiving-turkey-drive?bblinkid=287028374&bbemailid=60484587&bbejrid=-987748828
