Canyon Medical Health CU changes name

After a merger with Mountain View Credit Union in December, Canyon Medical Health Credit Union has announced its new name – Cornerstone Credit Union.

Both Mountain View and Canyon Medical Health credit unions accept members residing or working in Ada and Canyon counties.

“Neither credit union was large enough by itself to have an office in both counties,” said Lori Casady, former CEO of Mountain View Credit Union and now vice president of Cornerstone.

Casady explained the selection of the new name, stating, “Our members have always looked to us as a ‘foundation’ for their financial needs. ‘Cornerstone’ seemed to reflect the relationship both credit unions have worked to establish with our members.”

Cornerstone Credit Union, with branch locations in Caldwell, Nampa and Garden City, has a membership open to persons who are employed in the medical or health care field, Intermountain Gas employees, and residents of Garden City’s zip code 83714.
