Sally Jeffcoat, the president and CEO of Saint Alphonsus Health System in Boise, has been promoted to executive vice president CHE Trinity Health West/Midwest Group. CHE Trinity is the parent company of Saint Alphonsus and is based in Novi, Mich.
Rodney Reider, the president of Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, will serve as interim president and CEO of Saint Alphonsus Health System, hospital officials said. It’s not yet confirmed who will serve as president of the medical center after the transition.
In her new position, Jeffcoat will have executive oversight of dozens of hospitals and health systems in the West and Midwest. Jeffcoat will commute to Michigan and plans to continue to live in Boise and remain active in the local community, hospital officials said.
Jeffcoat has been at Saint Alphonsus for five years, said Saint Alphonsus spokesman Joshua Schlaich.
“She’ll still have a large connection to Saint Alphonsus Health System as a board member, and of course as part of her new job,” Schlaich said.
Jeffcoat’s position as president and CEO of the Saint Alphonsus Health System covers four hospitals between Boise and Baker City, Ore., and the Saint Alphonsus Medical Group, comprising more than 60 clinics. The position of executive vice president of the West/Midwest group of CHE Trinity facilities includes 47 hospitals in California, Idaho, Oregon, Iowa, Nebraska, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Maryland, and Illinois.
