Carolyn Holly - Vice President of Development - Idaho Business for Education

Carolyn Holly has a 40-year career as an anchorwoman at KTVB TV in Boise, where she was on the front lines of change in Idaho. As she transitioned out of that position and into her current role as vice president of Development for Idaho Business for Education five years ago, Holly has made it her goal to increase membership for the nonprofit. She explained that the accomplishment has been key to achieving the organization’s mission of strengthening education so students can be successful in school, work and life.
“If those three things are accomplished, Idaho employers will have trained and dependable workforce,” she explained.
Holly said that her goal in the next year is to continue to meet with IBE members, many of whom are business leaders in communities around Idaho.
“I strive to meet with as many of them as I can to let them know of the valuable work being done to provide pathways for Idaho’s youth with an end goal of a skilled workforce for Idaho employers,” she said.
Looking at the future of her work in Idaho, Holly is passionate about doing her part to give people the tools they need to contribute to the growth and wellbeing of Idaho.
“When you invest in your youth and your workforce, you can’t lose,” she said. “I remain steadfast that Idaho is one of the greatest states in the nation to raise a family. The work that we do at Idaho Business for Education will sustain that reputation for years to come!”
