Fans of pizza might want to take it easy with the candy consumption on Halloween so that they can be ready for Idaho’s latest serving of the popular circular dish.
Slice House by Tony Gemignai is opening its doors on its first location in Idaho at Orchard Park in Meridian on Nov. 1.
The franchise location is owned and operated by Jamey and Steve Cutter and Clark Morton, but Gemignani himself will make an appearance himself at the grand opening, which starts at 11 a.m. The first 50 guests will receive a free hat, and there will be a raffle with a chance to win free pizza for a year.
“We couldn’t be more excited to officially expand Slice House to Idaho and become a part of the Meridian community,” Gemignani said. “Every new opening is meaningful, but this one stands out as it marks our very first location in the state. The team here in Meridian has done an incredible job bringing our signature pizzas, extensive menu and fast-casual destination to life in a way that truly reflects the quality and hospitality of Slice House.”
The indoor dining area of Slice House can accommodate up to 34 guests with additional outdoor for 62 more. The restaurant is part of a recent surge in additional construction that has been occurring at Orchard Park, building onto the southwest corner of the property, which includes several other styles of restaurants, a credit union, the Meridian Library and WinCo, which is the anchor store.
“Opening day has been such an exciting milestone for us,” Steve Cutter said. “From the moment we started this journey with Tony, our goal has been to create a place where people could gather, relax and enjoy incredible pizza made with craft and care. We’re thrilled to finally share the Slice House experience with our friends, neighbors, and the greater Meridian community.”
The menu will feature different pizza styles, including New York, Sicilian, Detroit and Grandma, which can be purchased by the slice or in whole pies.
Slice House was founded by Gemignani in San Francisco and has since expanded to 25 more locations, with Meridian being the 26th.
