Integra Telecom chooses Infinera to provide optical network (6299)

Integra Telecom has selected Infinera to provide a new optical network for Integra’s long-haul network in the western U.S.
Integra provides voice, data and Internet communications to thousands of business and carrier customers in eight Western states, including Idaho.
The company owns and operates a fiber-optic network comprised of eight metropolitan access networks and a 4,700-mile high-speed long haul network.
The Infinera network is designed to meet the needs of high-bandwidth and fast-growing networks.
The investment in an Infinera Digital Optical Network marks the latest step in Integra’s growth strategy the region, the company said in a statement.
Integra Telecom, based in Portland, Ore., is one of the largest competitive carriers in the U.S.
