Saint Alphonsus has hired Dr. Michael Patmas as the new CEO of the Saint Alphonsus Medical Group.
As chief executive officer of Saint Alphonsus Medical Group, Patmas will provide clinical and administrative leadership to the physicians of the Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Group and oversee the financial, operational and clinical functions within the Saint Alphonsus Physician Services.
Patmas will be the CEO of the medical group – the network of primary care physicians, not the entire hospital, spokesman Mike Vogel said. Sandra Bruce remains the president and CEO of Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center.
Patmas comes to Boise from Bend, Ore., where he served as a VP of medical affairs. Prior to that, he served as medical director at Providence Ambulatory Care and Education in Portland and the New Jersey regional medical director for University of Pennsylvania Health System.
He received his medical degree from the University of Nevada School of Medicine and completed the University of Nevada School of Medicine Affiliated Hospitals Residency Training Program in internal medicine.
He also holds a Master of Medical Management degree from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business.
