Boise-based Thornton Oliver Keller Commercial Real Estate opened an office March 2 in Idaho Falls with brothers Brent and Brian Wilson.

TOK is the only major Boise commercial real estate firm with an office in Idaho Falls. This is the second office for the 25-year-old TOK, said Mark Stimpson, TOK’s vice president of operations.

“We view it as a natural extension of our Boise Valley operations,” TOK Managing Partner Michael Ballantyne said. “We currently manage properties across southern Idaho including the Wood River and Magic valleys.  A number of clients have asked us to manage their properties on the eastern side of the state.”

Broker Brent Wilson, formerly of Mountain West Commercial Real Estate in Idaho Falls, is a leading commercial real estate player in eastern Idaho, having leased out all the tenants at the new Sandcreek Commons in Ammon, the second largest shopping center in Idaho. He has landed several other major retailers in the region.

“Along with his brother Brian, we feel we have the very best team on the ground in that market,” Ballantyne said.

Adding Wilson will enable Thornton Oliver Keller to build a commercial real estate base across Idaho’s southern tier.  Wilson said the first job of his new office will be to begin compiling a database of every commercial building and tenant in the region.

“We will begin tracking vacancies and absorption in real-time with unparalleled accuracy,” Wilson said. “No more reliance upon national commercial database vendors who neglect our small markets. East Idaho and Montana will soon have the same level of data and infrastructure TOK has maintained in the Boise metro area for 25 years.”
