Gladys E. Langroise Advised Fund awards nearly $660,000 to 28 groups
The two grant programs ― the Idaho Future Fund and the Gladys E. Langroise Advised Fund ― together will distribute more than $950,000 to organizations serving Idaho children, students and families.
“These grants help organizations meet real needs in their communities, from preschool access and literacy support to afterschool learning and summer enrichment,” said Kent Fogg, director of impact at ICF. “By investing in these local efforts, the Idaho Future Fund helps trusted partners advance their missions and create more opportunities for Idaho students to succeed.”
The Langroise fund, established through the estate of Boise philanthropist Gladys Langroise, reflects the values she held during her lifetime. She created a $15 million advised fund at the foundation through her estate before her death at age 99.
“Gladys was a remarkable role model for what it means to care deeply for your community,” said Alice Hennessey, advisory board member for the Gladys E. Langroise Advised Fund and former president and CEO of the Idaho Community Foundation. “Her generosity was thoughtful, intentional and rooted in a belief that young people deserve every opportunity to thrive.”
