Lombard/Conrad Architects adds 2 senior leaders

Lombard/Conrad Architects has added two new senior leaders to its team: Katherine Johnson as the firm’s first official marketing director and Jared Schmidt as a senior architect.

With 16+ years of diverse professional experience, Johnson adds a unique mix of strategic and creative brand, marketing, communications and business development expertise. In the years prior to her new role at Lombard/Conrad, Johnson held director positions at a successful Boise-based creative marketing agency and two of Idaho’s most prominent nonprofit organizations. Alexis Townsend, firm principal and president, said With Katherine’s extensive background in marketing and brand development, she is just what the company needs to lead its strategic marketing and business development initiatives moving forward.

Schmidt earned a Bachelor of Science in architecture from Washington State University and brings almost two decades of experience and expertise, namely in education and health care design. He spent the first 15 years at local architecture firms working on numerous projects throughout the northwest and Texas, including designing for one of Idaho’s largest health care systems. Prior to coming to Lombard/Conrad, Schmidt was an in-house architect for a leading regional developer. Townsend said Schmidt is a superb architect who excels at building client relationships, making him a great fit in the studio.
