Biz ‘Bite:’ Stakeholders launch Idaho Engineering Growth Initiative Survey

In order to help grow Idaho’s economy and satisfy a growing demand for workers with engineering and computer science expertise, industry leaders have launched an initiative focused on increasing the number of students graduating from Idaho’s universities and colleges with key credentials in the two fields. With the guidance of industry experts, the State Board of Education has joined with the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education to conduct an assessment and develop a plan for this growth initiative. As part of this needs assessment, the initiative team is conducting a range of employer engagement activities, including a survey (through Jan. 31) to better understand current and future hiring demand for graduates of postsecondary engineering and computer science programs.
