The Taylor LEAD Foundation has named co-founder Angela Taylor as its first CEO, the Boise-based nonprofit announced Monday.
Taylor co-founded the organization with her brother, Gary Taylor, in honor of their parents, Charles and Alice Taylor, and has led it as president since its incorporation. The board’s decision to establish a CEO structure reflects the foundation’s growth from a founder-led effort into a more established institution, the organization said.
“Stepping into this role isn’t about a title,” Taylor said. “It’s about making sure the pathway we’re creating ― from a girl’s first sport to her first leadership role ― is built to last, and reaches every corner of Idaho.”
Taylor brings an extensive background in athletics and executive leadership to the role. A Stanford scholar-athlete and two-time NCAA champion, she previously served as president and general manager in the WNBA.
The foundation advances girls and women through education, athletics and leadership. Its Alice & Charles Taylor Scholar-Athlete LEAD Scholarship awarded $17,000 to 14 student-athletes across 12 Idaho high schools in its 2026 cycle. The foundation’s iWIN Sports platform has helped approximately 40 girls access athletic programming and continues to expand statewide.
Board Chair Dr. Lindy Crawford said the appointment was a deliberate step toward long-term sustainability.
“Naming our first CEO is a deliberate step toward long-term sustainability and impact, and there is no one better positioned to lead it,” Crawford said.
The foundation operates several programs, including iWIN IX Grants for family athletic needs, Game On! Sports Camps 4 Girls, The Changemakers Circuit speaking series, The iWIN Networking Collective and The Coach Pathway leadership program.
