A Treasure Valley fitness company is bulking up.
Idaho Fitness Factory recently opened its ninth location, adding south Boise to the list of places members can get their pump on.
The latest IFF location, at 10362 W. Overland Road in the Five Mile Plaza in Boise, offers the same 24-hour, seven-days-a-week access other locations enjoy. The 10,000-square-foot facility offers cardio and strength-training equipment, locker rooms with dry saunas and a kid’s room.
“We’ve had so many requests over the years to open a gym in south Boise,” said Dusty Martin, chief executive officer of IFF. “To finally be able to deliver such a beautiful club to this community is really satisfying. Anyone can build a gym and fill it with equipment, but it’s how you treat people that sets you apart.”
Martin added that the company is continually looking for new potential locations for expansion.
The Overland and Five Mile location marks four branches in Boise for IFF. There are three in Meridian, one in Caldwell and one in Nampa. Before the Overland location, the most recent opening was the Meridian branch on Franklin, which opened in 2022.
It was also in 2022 that IFF was acquired by Alturas Ventures, an Eagle-based acquisition firm that owns and operates several different businesses within different industries throughout the state, the Intermountain West and the Pacific Northwest.
“We could not be more excited to expand our footprint to another corner of the Treasure Valley to make Idaho Fitness Factory even more convenient for local residents,” said Blake Hansen, CEO of Alturas. “The response to this gym has been remarkable. It’s a testament to the … brand, the member experience and the quality and convenience of our gyms.”
According to a release from IFF, JP Green with TOK Commercial represented the property owner and Kelly Schnebly with Colliers Idaho represented Idaho Fitness Factory in the leasing transaction. Jenna Balch with Umpqua Bank facilitated the equipment financing.
