In 2023, Chandler Austin took the year to travel and experience the world. During that time, he maintained and strengthened his professional relationships in the United States and spent time as a real estate consultant. He came back to Idaho rejuvenated and excited about the changes in the real estate market.

Today, as the director of capital markets at deChase Miksis, Austin is focused on identifying creative investment strategies that generate strong returns for investors. He’s also looking to expand the company’s network of partners.

He said that the market right now is undergoing a reset, but he is dedicated to success.

“The market is incredibly challenging, with a significant amount of new supply coming online, making it a competitive environment where all of our properties are fighting for occupancy and rent growth,” he said. “Taking on asset management during this time has been an invaluable learning experience ― navigating these challenges requires a hands-on approach, strategic thinking and adaptability. While it’s a tough market, it’s also an opportunity to refine our strategies and position our properties for long-term success.”
