A bank in a tiny Idaho town isn’t just getting a facelift, it’s getting an entirely new location.
On Jan. 22, Zions Bank broke ground on a replacement branch in New Plymouth to better accommodate its local customers.
The new building, being constructed at 330 N. Plymouth Avenue, is just a couple blocks north from the existing location at 130 N. Plymouth Avenue, the bank stated in a release. When finished, it will be 2,156 square feet, providing more space for clients.
Along with being larger, the branch will have three offices, a full-service drive-up teller lane, a drive-up ATM and a night depository.

New Plymouth is situated about seven and a half miles east of Fruitland, Idaho, in Payette County and has a population of about 1,600 people.
“New Plymouth has a strong sense of community and a bright future,” said Carla Johanek, branch manager. “We’re investing in the future by providing the space and resources to support local families and businesses as they grow and thrive.”

The current branch, which is about 1,500 square feet and employs four staff, will remain in operation until completion of the new location this fall, Zions stated. Customers have access to consumer banking, small business and commercial lending, treasury management and residential mortgage services through the branch.
In attendance at the groundbreaking ceremony were community members, New Plymouth Mayor Tyson Flannery and Nate Callister, president and CEO of Zions Bank.
“Breaking ground on this new branch underscores our commitment not just to Idaho, but to its rural communities,” Callister said. “Expertise serving businesses, agricultural producers and individuals has been a hallmark of Zions Bank for more than 150 years.”
The bank, headquartered in Utah, has 25 branches throughout Idaho.
