A home designed and built by Boise Hunter Homes in collaboration with Mike Woodley has been named one of the nation’s top residential projects.
The Sicily floorplan by Boise Hunter Homes, a local, family-owned homebuilder, is one of five finalists for the 2026 Gold Nugget Grand Award for Best Single-Family Detached Home from 3,500 to 4,000 square feet.
The Gold Nugget Awards have recognized excellence in residential architecture, planning and development since 1963, making the program one of the country’s longest-running and most prestigious design competitions in the country.
Located in the Harris Ridge community, the Sicily was designed by Boise Hunter Homes in collaboration with Mike Woodley. Woodley has more than 30 years of residential design experience and has been inducted into the William S. Marvin Hall of Fame and the California Homebuilding Hall of Fame.
The Sicily maximizes the elevated foothills setting through expansive windows that frame the surrounding landscape. Its mid-century modern-inspired exterior features broad overhangs, layered rooflines and a signature butterfly roof. The Sicily includes an attached accessory dwelling unit (ADU) with a dedicated garage bay, providing added privacy for family and guests.
The winner for the Grand Award will be announced at the Gold Nugget Awards Gala on Wednesday, July 29. To learn more about Boise Hunter Homes and the Sicily floorplan, please visit BoiseHunterHomes.com.
