When asked who’s had the most positive impact on her life so far, credits the many women who believed in her early on.

“From teachers to mentors to business partners, their support gave me permission to trust my voice and vision — and that’s made all the difference,” she explained. “My goal is to shift the way women are seen in business, fashion and philanthropy from being overlooked or underestimated to being recognized as the visionaries, decision-makers and creative forces that shape industries and communities.”

In her roles at Marmalade and Made With Kindness Foundation, Widmyer is dedicated to blending business, fashion and philanthropy to create opportunities that didn’t exist before.

“Whether through expanding Marmalade, elevating rural fashion or reshaping narratives around female empowerment,” she said. “Through the Made With Kindness Foundation, I have helped shift the conversation on loss and resilience by honoring the lives of Maddie Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves and Xana Kernodle, ensuring their legacy inspires real change.”

Widmyer is proud of her professional accomplishments and anticipates what’s ahead.

“Helping expand a female-led fashion company from a small Idaho storefront to five locations nationwide has been one of the greatest and most demanding accomplishments of my life,” she said.

“It’s required bold decision-making, long nights and a deep trust in my instincts. I overcame the challenge by staying focused on people — building teams, community and authentic brand loyalty every step of the way.”

When she’s not at work, Widmyer is active in various volunteer positions. She’s the co-producer of Wine Women & Shoes Fashion Show for the Idaho Youth Ranch, she is the founder of Coeur d’Alene Fashion Week and has previous experience working as a speaker and advocate for wellness, female empowerment and mentorship with Miss Idaho USA, Miss Universe Organization.

In a nomination form for Widmyer, Caylie Shelton wrote, “Kaitlyn Widmyer deserves this award because she combines her strong business acumen with a deep commitment to making a difference. Her ability to balance entrepreneurial success with heartfelt advocacy makes her an exceptional candidate.”

Looking at the future of her life and career, the sky is truly the limit for Widmyer.

She said, “When I was 8, I told everyone I was going to be the first female president. While I’m still a few years too young to run, it’s an extraordinary feeling to be living in a time where voting for one is finally possible.”
