Idaho Truss & Component Co. Inc. will consolidate its Boise and Meridian manufacturing facilities into the Building Components of Idaho plant in Nampa as part of a merger, the companies announced.

Building Components of Idaho in November will join the InteFrame Network, which includes Idaho Truss, according to a joint statement. Other InteFrame members are Performance Engineers Inc., Reality Building Design Inc. and SteadFast Framing Co. Inc.

Kendall Hoyd, president of Idaho Truss and InteFrame, said Building Components of Idaho adds capacity to the network. BCI brought turn-key residential framing, panelized floor construction, and precision-cut and bundled framing materials to the market, he said.

BCI President Corey Elitharp said as a member of the InteFrame Network, the company can offer more sophisticated design and engineering services. Combining its framing operation with SteadFast Framing will help both entities add value for customers, he said.

Hoyd said the BCI’s high-quality Nampa facility has room for growth and opportunities for economies of scale.

He said plant consolidation would occur over the next two months. Performance Engineers and Reality Building Design will continue to operate from their Meridian offices.

Idaho Truss and Steadfast will move to the BCI facility on Franklin Road in Nampa.

Financial details weren’t released.
