A Redmond, Oregon-based construction company, with developments throughout Idaho, is building a reputation as a great place to work.

Hayden Homes, with operations in Idaho, Oregon, Montana and Washington, was named to two lists in Fortune magazine’s October issue.

The business, which was founded in 1989, ranked No. 7 on the 2024 Fortune Best Workplaces in Construction List and No. 97 on the 2024 Fortune Best Medium Workplaces List.

The lists are compiled by Great Place To Work, which uses its proprietary “For All” criteria, evaluating and certifying “thousands of organizations in America’s largest ongoing annual workforce study, based more than 1.3 million survey responses and data from companies representing more than 8.2 million employees.” The company stated those numbers are just in 2024 alone.

Companies were selected based on positive outcomes for employees regardless of overall demographics.

“We are so grateful to our team members who have truly embraced our ‘Give As You Go’ philosophy,’” said Patti Murphy, Hayden Homes’ vice president of employee experience. “Together, we are building a strong community where we all lead fulfilled lives. We celebrate and thank our team members for all they do ― we share these incredible honors with them.”

Hayden Homes stated it has received more than 25 “top honors” during the last five years for leadership in employee experience and engagement, and is often listed in the top 10 lists of best companies to work for by Idaho, Oregon and Washington publications.

“Some of the strongest work cultures we measure every year come from companies with relatively small headcounts,” said Michael C. Bush, CEO of Great Place To Work. “Companies that make these highly competitive lists offer the care and support found at companies 10 times their size.”

Hayden Homes employs 321 staff in the U.S.
