Aaron Williamson, the Wealth Team program manager at Idaho Central Wealth Management, brings with him a career spanning over two decades in wealth management and banking. A sixth-generation Idahoan, Williamson earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Idaho and later completed his MBA at Northwest Nazarene University.

Coupled with his Certified Wealth Strategist designation from the Cannon Financial Institute, Williamson has held leadership positions at several prestigious financial institutions, including KeyBank, Idaho Trust Bank and now Idaho Central Credit Union. Notably, he played a pivotal role in connecting the co-founders of VisitPay, a company that later sold for $260 million in 2021.

Williamson’s impact extends beyond his professional achievements. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he worked on the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), putting in 16-hour days, seven days a week, for two straight months. His efforts culminated in him becoming the number one PPP originator nationally for Key Private Bank in 2020, showcasing his dedication to supporting local businesses during a critical time.

His commitment to community service is evident through his involvement with various organizations. Williamson currently serves on the Idaho Historical Society Foundation Advisory Board and is the Emeritus Co-Founding Chapter President of the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity Alumni at the University of Idaho. He has also contributed his time and expertise to Opera Idaho and the Idaho Association of Commerce and Industry.

He also managed his son’s successful high school rock ‘n’ roll trio from 2009 to 2012.

“I advocate for the customer. I take a bullet for the client,” he said. “I protect them from the institution. My goal is to work and contribute for as many years as I can, and friends and family are what makes life worth living.”

Recognized as one of Idaho Business Review’s “Accomplished Under 40” in 2007, he was named the No. 1 Wealth Protection Producer nationally at Key Private Bank in 2022. As he continues to lead and innovate in his role at Idaho Central Wealth Management, Williamson remains an asset to Idaho’s financial landscape, helping to shape the state’s economic future.
