Jimena Cisneros is proud to be the first person in her family to earn a college degree. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in HR management and secured her first human resources job just out of school before the age of 23.

“I understand this professional accomplishment to be the first of many to come, however I still celebrate this big win in my life.”

Cisneros shared that her first job with the state at the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation gave her the opportunity to contribute to a mission that impacts the quality of life for Idahoans.

Her time there also gave her hands-on experience building strong teams, where she was able to help onboard seasonal employees and manage other important human resources responsibilities.

In January of this year, she began her newest role as a human resources assistant at St. Luke’s Health System.

“I’m optimistic about the road ahead and ready to embrace the next chapter with enthusiasm and gratitude,” Cisneros said.

Her goals for the next year include getting involved in professional communities across the Treasure Valley. She is also planning on earning her SHRM certification this year.

“What I love most about this field is its versatility; it allows me to work across various industries and connect with people from all walks of life,” she said. “It’s the perfect blend of meaningful work and endless opportunities to grow, which makes it hard to imagine myself doing anything else.”
