When it comes to giving women a boost in business, it is more than just about owning a company or providing specific benefits through employment.
Many will say it comes down to mentorship, supportive leadership roles, education and more. That’s exactly what 20 companies throughout Idaho are doing to empower women across multiple industries.
Now in the third year of the award, Idaho Business Review has selected those businesses, agencies and organizations that are supporting women and honoring them with the 2026 Empowering Women award.
For some of the honorees, this is the second or third time they’ve achieved this award, showing each year that they are constantly working toward their pursuit of supporting women in the workplace and community.
“Empowering Women is designed to showcase tangible and innovative efforts by companies, nonprofits and other organizations to advance women in the workplace and community,” said Cindy Suffa, publisher of IBR. “The honorees … demonstrate a track record of hiring and promoting women; support programs to mentor women in their organizations and address inequalities; show a strong record of women on the company’s board or in C-suite positions; and establish programs and philanthropic efforts to support women.”
The winners will be honored at a special luncheon event on March 12 from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at Boise Centre, and a special publication with profiles of the winners will be available at the event and inserted into the March 13 issue of Idaho Business Review.
Tickets for the event are available through the IBR website. Here are the 2026 Empowering Women honorees:
